Live production proof

See the automated R2000 workflow in action

At PRINTING United Expo 2026, NEOLT and HP demonstrated how automation can move repetitive rigid-panel handling away from the operator and into a coordinated production cell.

Automate the handling around the print engine

Turn repetitive board movement into a coordinated production workflow

The HP Latex R2000 handles the printing. The NEOLT system manages the repetitive rigid-panel movement around it, from stack pickup and printer delivery through output ejection and organized stacking.

NEOLT describes the R2000 configuration as an automatic loading and unloading system for rigid panels. The loader uses vacuum suction cups with independent motion control, while the stacker uses pneumatic motorized rollers for controlled panel ejection. Automatic leveling keeps the working stack aligned as material is consumed or collected.

Production sequence

From staged board stack to organized finished output

The automation can be understood as three connected production movements: load the board, move it through the R2000 print path, then unload and build the finished stack.

Stage, level and pick the next board

The input table maintains the working stack height while the vacuum system lifts the next rigid panel for delivery.

Deliver the panel into the R2000 workflow

The selected sheet is moved into position for the printer so repetitive manual board placement is reduced.

Rigid-media applications

Built for the materials common to display, signage and décor production

HP lists a broad rigid-media range for the R2000 Plus. Final feeder and stacker suitability depends on sheet behavior, dimensions, surface condition, weight and the selected production configuration.

Foam boards Paper foamboard, plastic foamboard and PVC foam used for display and signage work.
Corrugated materials Plastic corrugated and corrugated board for signs, displays and short-run graphics.
Rigid plastics Acrylic, polycarbonate, polystyrene and other compatible sheet plastics.
Composite panels Aluminum composite and other rigid display-panel constructions.
Cardboard Compressed cardboard and related display or packaging substrates.
Honeycomb board Lightweight structural sheet used in displays and rigid graphics.
Wood and specialty rigid HP also lists wood, glass and ceramic among supported rigid substrate types.
High-value applications Indoor and outdoor signage, décor, POS, displays, prototypes and customized packaging.

Workflow planning

Plan the automation around the way your shop actually produces

A successful installation considers more than the printer. Media, stack height, floor space, utilities, access and downstream movement all shape the final configuration.

Panel dimensions Review the sizes, thicknesses and formats that make up the real production mix.
Media behavior Confirm sheet flatness, surface condition, pickup characteristics and stack consistency.
Input and output volume Match stack capacity and handling cadence to typical job lengths and production priorities.
Floor space Allow for the feeder, printer, stacker, service access and safe operator movement.
Compressed air Plan around the published 8 bar, 300 NL/min requirement for the R2000 automation configuration.
Electrical service Account for the feeder/stacker supply as well as the printer and supporting production equipment.
Printer access Preserve service, maintenance and emergency access around the complete cell.
Downstream handling Consider how completed stacks move into finishing, packing, staging or the next production process.

Intelligent handling. Maximum performance.

Make the R2000 production cell more productive by automating the handling around it

For high-volume rigid-media environments, the value is not only how fast the printer can print. It is how consistently material can be staged, loaded, transferred, unloaded and prepared for the next step.

Specifications shown are based on current published HP and NEOLT source material for the HP Latex R2000 Plus and NEOLT's HP R2000 feeder/stacker configuration. Final integration should be confirmed for the intended media, production layout and installation environment.
